Accessibility Information

The Hollywood Sign is one of Los Angeles’s most iconic landmarks, visible from much of the city and a popular destination for visitors and locals alike.

The sign itself is not accessible — it is located on a hillside in Griffith Park and can only be reached via hiking trails with significant elevation gain and uneven terrain. There are no paved accessible routes to the sign, no restrooms at the trailheads, and no facilities on site. Visitors who cannot hike can view the sign from several accessible vantage points around the city, including the observation area at Griffith Observatory and various pullouts along Mulholland Drive.

Hiking trail only. Mostly paved, but can be steep. No benches along the way, no informational content at the top. You just peer through a fence at the sign. Kind of anticlimactic.
