Nixon Presidential Library

The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum is a federally operated presidential library and museum managed by the National Archives, situated on nine acres in Yorba Linda, California. The site includes permanent galleries, a historic birthplace home, a formal garden, and the Army One/Marine One helicopter on the grounds. The museum is fully accessible, with accessible parking available on site, accessible drop-off areas, paved and level pathways throughout the grounds, accessible restrooms, and wheelchair-accessible routes connecting the museum building, gardens, and outdoor exhibits. Wheelchairs are available on a loaner basis for visitors who need mobility assistance during their visit.

As a federally operated National Archives facility, the Nixon Library complies with ADA and federal accessibility standards. Service animals are welcome throughout the museum. The museum offers audio guides and audio descriptions to support visitors with visual impairments, and large-print and high-contrast signage is used throughout the galleries. Assistive listening devices are available for programs and events. Staff are trained to assist visitors with a range of accessibility needs. Visitors should note that interior tours of the birthplace home and helicopter may be suspended during inclement weather, and the helicopter interior tours are currently on a temporary pause for preservation work.

Visitors report that the outdoor grounds, including the garden and helicopter viewing area, are largely flat and easy to navigate by wheelchair or stroller. The parking lot is close to the main entrance, making arrival straightforward. Weekday mornings tend to be less crowded, and visitors with sensory sensitivities may find those times preferable. The museum is noted as a manageable size that most visitors can comfortably explore within two to three hours.
