Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose

Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose is a hands-on children’s museum that welcomes families of all abilities. Exhibit spaces are fully wheelchair accessible and offer multi-sensory, layered experiences for children of varying developmental stages. Accessible permit parking is available in surrounding lots, with limited free permit parking in a designated drop-off zone on the museum’s west side. Service animals are welcome throughout the museum.

The museum offers a range of sensory and inclusion resources: sound-reducing headsets are available at the admissions desk, a quiet room is located on the first floor near the restrooms, and Tuesdays during the school year are generally the quietest times to visit. A downloadable social story with text and pictures helps families prepare for their visit. The Museums for All program provides reduced admission for qualifying families. Play Your Way evening events are offered for children ages 2–15 on the autism spectrum, with trained staff and a sensory-supportive environment.
