Children's Museum at La Habra

The Children’s Museum at La Habra is a hands-on, interactive children’s museum housed in a historic 1923 Train Depot in La Habra, California. It features seven galleries across 10,000 square feet, including a Nature Walk, STEAM Lab, Model Train Village, Centennial Farm, and a hand-carved Dentzel Carousel. The museum offers a Sensory-Friendly Sunday program designed for children with autism, sensory processing differences, and other special needs, during which crowds are reduced and bright lights and noise are minimized. A museum social story is also available online to help families plan their visit. The Model Train Village includes an ADA ramp providing access to the museum’s historic wing. The Museums for All program provides reduced admission of $3 per person for EBT or WIC cardholders.

The museum also offers monthly free admission days funded by Target stores on a designated Sunday each month. A family restroom for nursing is available on site, and visitor reports indicate changing stations are present in restrooms. Parking is shared with adjacent Portola Park and visitors note abundant parking is available. The single-story layout in the historic depot building contributes to easier navigation throughout the exhibits.
