Muir Woods

Muir Woods National Monument is a famous old-growth coast redwood forest in Mill Valley, California, managed by the National Park Service as part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The monument features nearly 2 miles of firm-surfaced, flat trails with frequent benches, making it one of the most accessible redwood forests in the country. Designated accessible parking is available, along with accessible restrooms, and an accessible café and gift shop. Wheelchairs are available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis. The visitor center is usable for visitors with mobility needs.

The monument provides a braille brochure and trail map, a large print brochure, and audio described brochures and waysides for visitors with visual impairments. Assistive listening devices are available at the visitor center. Only service animals as recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act are permitted on site.
