Overview

The Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) is a contemporary art museum in San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood dedicated to exploring the history, art, and culture of the African diaspora. The museum is located within the St. Regis Hotel building, which provides elevator access to all gallery floors. The entrance is step-free and accessible from street level, with accessible restrooms available within the museum. Service animals are welcome throughout the facility.

MoAD offers reduced admission rates for seniors, students, and educators at $7, while children under 12 and active duty military enter free. Every second Saturday, free admission is offered to all visitors through the THRIVE @ MoAD Community Day program. The museum’s compact, multi-level layout is served by elevators, making gallery spaces reachable without stairs.
