The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose, California is one of the largest collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts in the western United States. The museum provides ramp access at the entrance for smooth entry and allows drop-offs directly at the front of the building. Inside, a platform wheelchair lift (31.5″ x 48″, capacity 550 lbs) connects the multi-level galleries to ensure guests using mobility aids can access all areas. Free parking is available in two dedicated lots at the rear of the museum on Naglee Avenue and Chapman Street. Service animals are permitted in all areas of the facility open to the public.
The museum was built in 1966, and its galleries are located on multiple levels traditionally navigated by stairs. The platform lift is available to bridge those levels for guests with mobility needs, though it cannot accommodate strollers per state regulations.
