San Francisco Botanical Garden is a 55-acre living museum in Golden Gate Park featuring more than 9,000 plant species from around the world. Paved, accessible pathways run throughout the garden and accommodate mobility devices, with frequent benches for resting. ADA-accessible restrooms are located next to the North Gate and near the Main Gate. A limited number of loaner wheelchairs are available to borrow on a first come, first served basis.
Accessible parking is available in the Bandshell All-Accessible Lot and along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The free Golden Gate Park Shuttle stops at the Music Concourse near the garden, running Monday to Friday from 12 to 6pm and weekends and holidays from 10am to 6pm. Service animals are welcome throughout the grounds.
General admission is free for San Francisco residents with proof of residency, Museums For All participants (SNAP/EBT), U.S. military and veterans, and members. Seniors 65+ receive a reduced rate and children under 5 enter free. Non-resident adults pay general admission.
