Carpenter Performing Arts Center

Carpenter Performing Arts Center is a professional performing arts venue on the campus of California State University, Long Beach, presenting a range of music, dance, and theatrical performances. Accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in lot G12 in front of the venue, and a valid CSULB parking permit is required. Wheelchair-accessible seating is available throughout the theater, with Row A seating accessible via an ADA-compliant electronic lift for patrons in mobility devices who cannot navigate stairs. Patrons wishing to avoid stairs entirely should select Row H, which is level with the lobby. Assistive listening devices are available on loan for all performances for patrons without a hearing aid. Sign language interpreters are available upon advance request for all performances.

The theater does not have a patron elevator. Row A seats are accessed via an electronic lift with interior dimensions of 35.25″ x 49.5″, and patrons are advised to confirm their mobility device will fit the lift platform before purchasing those seats. Standard seat width is 16″ seat-only and 17″ between fixed armrests. Sign language interpreters require four weeks advance notice and can be arranged by contacting the Box Office.
