Overview

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art opened in Exposition Park in September 2026. The building is fully accessible to wheelchair users, and manual and motorized wheelchairs are welcome in all galleries. Manual wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge at the Checkroom in the Main Lobby, first come, first served.

Every restroom is wheelchair accessible, most with wave-to-open hands-free doors, and each floor has several single-stall family restrooms. ADA parking spaces are available in the paid structures on site and throughout Exposition Park. Rideshare and ADA drop-off is on Bill Robertson Lane, across the street from the Natural History Museum, and the Metro E Line’s Expo/Vermont station is nearby.

Two wellness rooms offer a quiet, private space for sensory regulation, nursing, or other needs; ask at the Information Desk in the Main Lobby for directions. Assistive listening devices for the museum’s theaters are available at the Checkroom. Working service animals, as defined by the ADA, are welcome on a leash.

Caregivers of visitors with disabilities receive free general admission with an advance reservation. All visitors, including those admitted free, need a timed-entry ticket booked in advance.
