Moorten Botanical Garden

Overview

Moorten Botanical Garden is a beloved family-owned living museum and the world’s first Cactarium, featuring over 3,000 varieties of desert cacti and plants from around the world. Located along South Palm Canyon Drive, it is one of the original Palm Springs attractions.

Accessible parking is available near the entrance, and the main garden paths are wide enough for wheelchairs, though paths are sandy/packed dirt and some areas include a slight hill. Wheelchair users may need assistance in certain sections. The Cactarium greenhouse accessibility is unconfirmed. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Accessible entrance and wheelchair-friendly paths through most of the garden. The garden is small (roughly 1 acre) and takes about an hour to walk. Visitors note the winding dirt trail is generally flat.
