Oakland Arena & Coliseum

Oakland Arena and Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum is a multi-purpose entertainment complex in Oakland, California, hosting concerts, family shows, sporting events, and large-scale productions. The venues comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and offer a range of physical accessibility features. ADA-compliant accessible parking is available at the front of the parking lots closest to both venues, with van-accessible spaces included; a valid disabled placard and matching ID are required. A drop-off point is available for rideshare guests at Baldwin Gate, which opens two hours before event time. Inside Oakland Arena, three ADA-accessible elevators serve different sections — one on the west side near section 114 and two on the east side near section 101. Service dogs assisting guests with disabilities are permitted inside both Oakland Arena and the Coliseum. Materials including event guides are available in large print or on audiotape upon request from the Administration Offices, with requests made at least 10 business days in advance to the ADA Coordinator. Guest Services Representatives, including ushers, ticket takers, and security staff, are trained to assist guests with disabilities during events and in emergency evacuations.

Visitors report that the BART Coliseum Station connected by a pedestrian bridge makes the complex very convenient to reach without a car, and that accessible parking spaces are well-positioned near the entrances. Some visitors note that accessible seating areas in the upper levels can require use of the elevators, and recommend contacting the ADA Coordinator well in advance for any special accommodation requests.
